What to bring to your session:

Feel free to bring along any props or accessories you would like. It's a good idea to bring chapstick or lipgloss (chapped lips are hard to Photoshop). To be extra prepared, bring snacks--great for bribes, & a favorite toy to comfort small children if they are feeling overwhelmed at the session. High School Seniors...not sure which outfit to wear? Bring several and I'll help you narrow it down (see What to Wear for a few tips.) Water is always a good idea as well!

During the session:

Children are UNPREDICTABLE...so, it's my job to be ready for anything. Expect a bit of chaos and try not to get frustrated with your "littles" if things don't seem to be going perfect. I've found that often it's the small moments in between the composed shots that are beautiful. People often ask how I managed to get even one shot of thier child! The answer is simple...I shoot like crazy and it's my job to capture it all. The only job I give you as parents is to relax & enjoy. I will do all the hard work. I'll give you some direction during the session so you will know exactly what to do. Once in awhile there are children that for whatever reason, don't like being photographed. I get it! Often if I can photograph the child or children away from their parents, they will just focus on me and my silly chatter. It usually works! Typically, children are on their best behavior for others.

High School Seniors--expect to have fun! Nothing stuffy here. We'll strategize & discuss the style of your session prior. I have a pop up tent for outfit changes on the fly. These sessions are meant to be fun, casual, and capture your true personality.
